“Burnout is insidious; it coaxes us into believing the external environment is the sole source of our discomfort. Yet, burnout is a symptom prompting us to seek greater understanding in who we are and what we need.”
– Katelyn McClelland, LCSW
I’m Katelyn, founder of Matters Counseling and Consulting, and I’m passionate about helping professionals rediscover their purpose and thrive both personally and professionally.
With a background rooted in leadership and nonprofit work, I’ve had the privilege of driving initiatives that empowered communities and fostered collaboration. As a commissioned minister and licensed clinician, I’ve guided individuals through significant challenges, helping them embrace their value and achieve transformational growth. My work has consistently focused on equipping professionals and leaders to overcome stress, burnout, and uncertainty with clarity and confidence.
Over the years, I’ve worked with executives and high-achieving professionals to develop actionable strategies that create meaningful change. By blending personalized coaching with mental health expertise, I help clients navigate complex challenges, enhance emotional intelligence, and build resilience.
I believe leadership is about more than achieving goals—it’s about aligning your values with your actions and creating an impact that lasts. Together, we’ll work to define your purpose, refine your skills, and achieve sustainable growth that benefits not only you but also those you lead and serve. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, curling up with a good book like The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, or unwinding with a great movie. These moments remind me to slow down, stay present, and find joy in the simple things—values I aim to bring into every aspect of my work.
